Some deposits laugh at water pressure alone. Hardened scale, tuberculation in old cast iron, grout and mortar washed into the line after construction — build-up that has chemically bonded to the wall needs mechanical action, not just spray. The Duce is KEG's answer: a vibrating rotational nozzle that jackhammers deposits loose while its jets flush them away.
How it works
Like KEG's Rotor, the Duce is water-driven — no lubrication, water itself carries away the heat. But where the Rotor spins smoothly for finishing, the Duce's sprocket-like front and rear end caps convert rotation into vibration. That vibrating action transmits through the pipe contents as thousands of small impacts: hard, brittle deposits crack and release where steady water flow would just polish them.
When to use it
- Hardened scale and mineral build-up
- Tuberculation in old iron lines
- Grout and mortar residue after construction or lining work
- Any deposit that has hardened to the pipe wall or floor
- Grease and light-to-moderate roots (the related Commander Rotor's specialty)
Read this before you run one
KEG puts hard limits on this nozzle, and they matter:
- Camera the line first — always. The operator must confirm overall pipe condition before running the Duce.
- Never in cracked or damaged pipe. Vibration that breaks scale will also work on cracks, fissures and weakened walls.
- Never in clay pipe. Not recommended by KEG, full stop.
If the camera shows compromised pipe, clean it with a low-wall-pressure Tier 3 nozzle instead (that's the OMG's specialty — see the Tier 3 guide) and leave the deposits for a rehab decision.

Catalog flow window for the family: 5–125 GPM at 1,300–2,000 PSI — confirm your machine sits inside it before ordering. From 1/2" up the Duce runs titanium ceramic inserts only (1/4" and 3/8" are stainless); it's a Tier Two nozzle. A recycled-water version (Duce Recycler, 1"–1-1/4", 60–125 GPM) and the 12-insert Commander Rotor are available by quote for combination trucks.
