The Egg is the nozzle most operators should have bought instead of their first cheap nozzle. It's KEG's light, agile all-rounder — the deliberate upgrade from the drilled Standard: same compact ball-style form factor, but with replaceable threaded inserts instead of factory-drilled holes. That one change means real jet geometry, real efficiency, and a nozzle that gets repaired instead of replaced.
How it works
Rear inserts (4–6 depending on size) provide thrust and wall wash, and most models carry a forward jet for light penetration. Every forward-jet Egg ships with an extra blank steel insert: thread the blank in and the Egg becomes a pure cleaning nozzle; swap the forward insert back and it penetrates. Two nozzles in one pocket-sized body — that versatility is the family's whole argument.
The compact egg shape slips through tight transitions, traps and fittings that hang up longer nozzle bodies — which is why this family anchors our laterals & tight lines collection.
When to use it
- Laterals, traps and tight small-diameter lines (2"–6" in the common sizes)
- Everyday service-call cleaning where one compact nozzle has to do a bit of everything
- Light blockage opening with the forward jet, then washdown with the blank
- As the quality step up from a drilled Tier 1 starter nozzle — see the cost math
When it's the wrong tool: hard blockages (see the penetrating guide — the Egg Devastator is this body's aggressive cousin), heavy large-diameter cleaning (Cleaning Nozzle), and camera-prep finishing (Rotor).

A 1-1/4" model (4"–12" pipe) is available on request. The Egg is a Tier Two nozzle — replaceable-insert fluid mechanics without Tier 3 pricing (how the tiers work). Inserts come in titanium ceramic (-C, 5-year warranty) or steel (-S, 1-year); wear is an $8–15 swap.
