What it's for

The Direct Hit DC38 rotating root cutter nozzle clears roots, grease and debris from sewer and drain lines. Its rear-facing 38 mm turbo head spins and cuts as you pull the nozzle back, and it pairs with the C38RS penetrator for hard blockages. Every DC38 is jetted to your jetter's GPM, PSI and hose length and ships with a 1/4" or 3/8" hose connection.

The DC38 uses a rear-facing turbo cutter to work on roots and drain obstructions. Its dual hoses feed the carriage; they do not indicate two cutting heads. It can complement a C38RS forward penetrator.

What you are buying

One complete DC38 cutter with carriage, feed hoses and one fitted rear turbo head. The dual feed hoses do not mean two cutting heads. A separate C38RS penetrator is not included.

The displayed price covers the complete configured nozzle or head described above. JPS confirms the final assembly, operating limits and machine fit before shipment. Hose adapters and optional accessories are separate unless explicitly listed as included.

Match the complete nozzle to your machine

Provide machine flow in US GPM, working PSI, total working hose length, hose inside diameter and the hose-end size and thread. Include pipe diameter, tight bends or traps, and whether you need penetration, root cutting, flushing or hydro excavation. A rotor size number is not the complete nozzle’s flow: any separate thrust or cutting jets also consume water. The finished jetting and operating limit must be confirmed for the whole assembly.

Opening a path through a blockage does not always complete the cleaning job. Some applications require a separate finishing nozzle to clean the pipe wall and remove debris.

Videos remain hosted by their original creators. Demonstrated configurations and operating conditions may differ from the supplied JetterProSupply assembly.

Rings, caps and access

Optional rings change the cutting position and overall clearance. Select them for the pipe and access route; a larger ring can prevent passage through a smaller opening. Rings, extra heads and spare hose sets are not included unless listed with the final package.

The practical value is a tool chosen for the task, a matching setup and support after the sale. Job time and water use depend on the machine, line and obstruction.

Compare the job, fit, maintenance and applicable coverage. A brand name or tier alone does not make every model suitable for the same work.

What matters after the purchase

Judge the tool by the work it covers, the parts you can service and the support behind the setup.

Service the right components

Direct Hit: Direct Hit rotor assemblies, ceramic jets and adapters are separate service items. Match the exact model and fitted configuration before ordering; a spare rotor is not included unless the listing says so.

Know which coverage applies

Direct Hit manufacturer coverage must be confirmed for the exact product. KEG’s component warranty does not apply to Direct Hit.

Try it under the store guarantee

JPS’s 30-day performance guarantee accepts normal testing wear on a complete eligible nozzle or kit, including supplied inserts. Return all supplied components. Eligibility, exclusions and prepaid-label instructions are in the return policy.

Get the right rebuild parts

A matching service kit can restore a serviceable assembly when its replaceable components are the cause of the problem. JPS can help identify the parts before you order.

  1. Identify the exact nozzle model and fitted rotor or insert configuration. Have your order number or a clear product photo ready.
  2. Describe what changed and your operating setup: GPM, working PSI, hose inside diameter and hose length. Stop using damaged equipment and follow the manufacturer’s inspection procedure.
  3. Confirm the correct kit, included parts, service procedure, price and availability with JPS. A kit does not resolve every fault, and normal wear is separate from a covered defect.

What a useful demonstration should show

Look for the exact nozzle and configuration, machine flow and pressure, hose, pipe condition and the work completed. Compare before-and-after inspection of the same section. One successful job does not establish a universal speed, water-use or service-life advantage.

Compare cost over your own jobs

Compare purchase price, replacement parts and service costs over the same number of jobs. Record time and water used on comparable work. A useful cost per job is total tool and service cost divided by jobs completed; any time savings should come from your own measured results.
