KEG Aqua Power 700 for 1-Inch Jetters: Grease, Roots and Manholes

Manufacturer model reference image. Confirm the actual demo/used unit and included components when requesting a quote.
The KEG Aqua Power 700 gives contractors a controlled rotating water-cutting option for grease, small-to-medium roots and hardened deposits. Its catalog applications also include forward-jet cleaning, manholes and lift stations. For a crew using a 1-inch jetter hose, the useful question is how the complete nozzle configuration matches those jobs.
KEG lists 3/4-inch, 1-inch and 1-1/4-inch hose configurations for this model. The actual connection, swivel and installed inserts still need confirmation on a demo/used unit.
Controlled water cutting: what the mechanism does
Centrifugal clutches control the Aqua Power 700's rotation. KEG's catalog introduction describes it running at 650 RPM, with individual jets performing cleaning, propulsion, penetration and rotation functions. The model table lists four rear and six front jets.
Controlled rotation keeps the nozzle's cleaning action moving around its working area. For the buyer, the practical distinction is the cutting mechanism: the Aqua Power 700 uses water jets. The right configuration depends on the deposit, pipe condition and machine supplying the water.
The body is wear-resistant stainless steel, with replaceable threaded titanium ceramic inserts. Replaceable inserts provide a service path when the installed configuration needs attention, but their presence does not establish the condition or jetting of the particular unit offered.
Match the application to the configuration
Grease removal and small-to-medium root removal are explicit applications. Keep that root-size qualification when comparing equipment. A heavy-root job deserves a separate discussion of the KEG Super Nova chain cutter, whose listed duty includes heavy roots.
For manhole work, KEG describes plugging the rear jets and opening the forward jets to produce the required cleaning pattern. Its catalog also identifies lift-station work. Discuss the cleaning area, access and desired pattern before choosing the setup; application-specific inserts may be supplied separately.
“Hardened deposits” is another listed application. Describe the actual material rather than assuming that phrase covers every obstruction. Photos or inspection information help make the equipment review specific.
Pipe diameter: skids change the answer
The standard catalog configuration starts at 8-inch pipe. The main body can fit into a 6-inch opening, but bolt-on skids increase the assembly's diameter to 8 inches. Use the complete assembly's clearance when planning the job.
An optional expansion kit, part 0010 0273, supports pipe up to 24 inches. Confirm the correct skid arrangement and whether that kit is included in the quote. The larger range depends on the additional equipment.
This distinction matters when comparing listings. A photo of the nozzle body or a single maximum pipe size does not tell you which skids, swivel and expansion parts will arrive.
Machine fit for a 1-inch setup
The catalog range is 50–120 US GPM at 1,700–3,000 PSI. Those figures describe the model's operating scope; the installed inserts must suit the actual machine. Send JPS your GPM, working PSI, hose inside diameter, hose length and hose-end connection, together with pipe diameter and the cleaning task.
For a manhole or lift station, include the available access and area to be cleaned. That information helps JPS review the complete assembly and required jet configuration before quoting.
Buying a demo/used Aqua Power 700
Request current photos of the actual unit and confirm its condition, installed inserts, swivel, skids and optional parts. Manufacturer photos show a representative configuration. The exact package should be identified in the written quote.
Confirm the demo selling price, availability and dispatch timing directly. Where a listing shows a catalog-price reference, ask for the price of the particular used unit and its applicable warranty and return terms.
Common questions
Is the Aqua Power 700 a chain cutter?
It is a water-cutting rotational nozzle. Its separate jets and controlled rotation perform the cleaning work. Match that mechanism to the obstruction when comparing it with chain-cutting models.
Can I use it in 24-inch pipe as supplied?
That depends on the quoted package. The 24-inch capability requires the optional expansion kit and appropriate skid configuration. Have JPS identify those parts explicitly.
