Jetter Truck Nozzle Loadout: Build a Consistent Plumber Kit

A consistent truck setup makes it easier for a crew to choose the next tool when conditions change. Start with the jobs your fleet actually handles. Four useful roles are routine cleaning, pulling and flushing, penetration, and wall finishing; the right number of physical nozzles depends on the workload and machine.

Build a job-based loadout

• Routine cleaning: Sewer Flush or Cleaning, sized for the available flow.
• Pulling and directed flushing: Traction when hose drag or the material in the line calls for its tight rear-jet pattern.
• Penetration: Rambo or Triple Edge Quattro for the applicable obstruction and pipe condition.
• Finishing: Rotor for wall cleaning before inspection where its operating requirements are met.

Established roots or hard deposits may need a purpose-built cutter or another specialist tool. A general Rotor should not be labeled a root cutter. Inspect the condition of the pipe before selecting an aggressive cleaning method.

Standardize the process as well as the case

Label each nozzle by function and configuration. Keep a record of the machine it is matched to, and separate drilled models from those that take replacement inserts. Store service parts by exact manufacturer part number, orifice and position. Similar-looking inserts are not necessarily interchangeable.

Train the crew to open a route, clean the affected surfaces, remove loosened material and verify the result. The sequence and number of passes depend on the job. Having a defined next tool can reduce time spent choosing equipment; measure actual time savings before using a figure in your job costing.

Start with the kit that matches your work

The 1/4-inch Starter Kit includes Sewer Flush (called the cleaning nozzle in this kit), Ball and Triple Edge Quattro. The 3/8-inch Essentials Kit includes Sewer Flush, Rambo, Ball and Triple Edge Quattro. Neither should be described as the same four-role loadout as a Cleaning, Traction, Rambo and Rotor combination.

For a compact truck setup, compare the 1/4-inch Starter Kit and 3/8-inch Essentials Kit. For dedicated propulsion and wall cleaning, consider the 3/8-inch Cleaning + Traction Kit.

Simple ordering: for 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch nozzles, enter the GPM you want to run. For 1/2-inch and larger, provide GPM and working PSI. Select the correct hose connection first; model-specific flow limits and pipe suitability still apply. Find your nozzle.
