01 / CONNECTION

What connection are you running?

The nozzle must match the hose connection. Check the coupling or machine manual—don’t estimate.

Not sure which connection you have?

Check the nozzle connection size in your hose or machine documentation. Hose inside diameter and thread size are different measurements. Don’t choose by the nozzle’s outside diameter or by how large the photo looks. Call JPS for a fit check if it is unclear.

02 / MACHINE DETAILS

What does your machine produce?

GPM is required because the nozzle must be jetted to the water your machine can actually supply.

Not sure of your PSI? Not sure of your GPM or PSI? Check the pump or machine plate and the operating pressure you plan to run. Ask a tech for help · (864) 804-6637

03 / LINE CONDITIONS

What kind of line are you entering?

Pipe condition changes the right opening tool. KEG specifically identifies Traction as gentle on deteriorated pipe and designed to clear a path for other nozzles.

04 / YOUR APPLICATION

What is the main job you need this nozzle to do?

Pick what is actually in the line—not merely the symptom at the cleanout. The plan will separate opening, cleaning, and finishing passes.

Why many 3/8-inch plumbers carry both

3/8-inch Cleaning nozzle

Cleaning nozzle

The everyday Tier 3 tool for general sewer cleaning and high wall force in sanitary or storm lines. Use it when the goal is thorough pipe-wall cleaning.

3/8-inch Traction with forward jet

Traction with forward jet

The Tier 3 path-opening tool for mud and sand removal, strong pulling, and deteriorated pipe. Use it to open and move material—not as a substitute for every cleaning job.

KEG identifies Cleaning and Traction as Tier Three designs with 80%+ fluid efficiency in its catalog. The 98% efficiency rating belongs to the Royal nozzle and does not apply to Cleaning or Traction.
